President’s Message

It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the official website of the Alumni of KOICA Fellows in Sri Lanka (AKOFE).
AKOFE brings together Sri Lankan professionals who have benefited from training and knowledge-sharing opportunities offered by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA). Our alumni not only apply their learning in their respective fields, but also embody the values of innovation, service, and collaboration that strengthen both Sri Lanka’s development journey and our enduring friendship with the Republic of Korea.
The membership of Association of KOICA Fellows in Sri Lanka(AKOFE) consists of senior public servants and ex- officials who have undergone training in their respective fields, in South Korea through scholarships granted by the Korean Government. This was formed in 1999 with the main objectives of effectively utilizing the knowledge and skills gained in Korea for nation building efforts of Sri Lanka, promoting friendly relations between the two countries and serving the less privileged. The membership now stands over 1500.
Since its inception, AKOFE has served as a platform for professional networking, knowledge exchange, and project implementation across various sectors, including education, health, and environment, governance, and community development. We are committed to ensuring that the expertise gained through KOICA programmes continues to generate meaningful impact for our country and people.
This website is designed to showcase our initiatives, highlight opportunities for collaboration, and inspire future generations to build on this legacy of shared learning.
As President, I extend my heartfelt appreciation to KOICA for its unwavering support, to our members for their dedication, and to our partners for their cooperation. Together, we will continue to transform knowledge into action for a better tomorrow.
